I am having a problem with my 2000 Mustang 3.8. When I first start it up it runs and idles fine. But after about 5 or 6 miles his starts to idle very rough and dies. I have checked the OBD and it is not showing any codes. I could use some help trying to figure this problem out. I really don’t want to take it Ford because we all know they will charge a fortune for diagnostics, parts and labor.
Thanks
If you could have a look at the fuel trims it may give you some direction.A number of different things can cause this problem. In the meantime do a visual inspection and look for broken intake-air hoses, loose wires, bad connectors at any of the sensors. Intermittent problems are usually caused by heat and vibration. I hope I am not too late with my answer. Frank
