I just bought myself the power probe to expand on my skills but I am a little intimidated by the fact that I have power to the tip just wondering what not to do or better yet, suggestions on how to use the probe properly
As an automotive instructor that teaches students on all levels I think the best advice would be to draw out the circuit that you are thinking about introducing voltage to. Draw the probe in the circuit then trace out what the ground path would be ,What is the load, and is it normally subjected to 12V, 5V, or a signal. I would be especially careful if the ground is through an ECU.
